Display the age of a contact on screen

It is quite straightforward to create an expression that will display the age of a contact if their date of birth is known.

The example assumes that a date field exists in the userdefined Contact2 area called UDOB. The date of birth of the contact is entered here.

age(contact2->udob)

It uses the AGE() expression within GoldMine to calculate the current age in years from a given date.

To create an expression you will need appropriate rights, and may need to speak to your system administrator.

Go to the fields tab, right click with your mouse and select New Field. In the following dialog select dBase Expression. Enter the expression below in the following dialog box.

For more information on adding the expression and formatting the text and displaying a label see your GoldMine documentation.
